Default to rock rotas or to not rock rotas???

so..i've had mixed emotions about purchasing rotas. I mean good prices for knock offs. but its not the same as having the real JDM ****..correct?

So what u guys think? I mean i'm suppose to be a starving college student..so i can't afford to be spending so much on new kicks.. I need your advice ppls!!

What other rims look good on a white four door teggie?

Thanks in advance =0)

Regardless if you're tight on money or not, Rota's are a great deal IMO. They're light, relatively cheap, and can be found pretty easily if you need another wheel for replacement.
As for them being replica's, that's more of an opinion. As for mine, I would get Rota's regardless of them being knock-offs.

compare how angry you would be when your rotas got stolen to how angry you would be when your volks get stolen...

if its not a serious show car then 'whats the point?' i say..

if you like the style of the wheels, get them...price also plays a part in how much i like the wheels....

so if you want to impress a bunch of jdm diaper lickers in the A/C forum, save up and get volks or weds or spoon or whatever...

do what you want regardless of what HT thinks...99.9999% of people couldnt tell a rota from a mugen....and the .0001% that could, are probably gonna steal them anyways

<<<<rocks rotas, but might be selling because they attract to much attention and going to back to steelies and hubcaps

you bent a rota,$100 for a new one. you bend a spoon rim or any other real rim, your buying a brand new set of rotas.($500 for 1 rim)

I had a set of BuddyClub P1 QF- The forged one's, and sold them, they were a bit rough. But, no problems at all.

So I then bought a brand new set of 16" Track R Rotas. I had lots of problems with them not sitting on the hub straight, I had to then get hub rings, which helped, but anything over 60mph and it would vibrate alot. The tires were brand new. Also, the only parts on my car are quality, no immitations or ebay specials, so I always had the feeling that I was "faking the funk."

So I sold them after 3 weeks and just got a set of Rays Grams Lights, and they are beautiful. No fitment issues, alot lighter, and the qualtiy is far better.

In my opinion, save the money, as the saying goes "You get what you pay for,"

I think it's stupid to hate on a wheel because its not expensive enough or not "mAd tYt3 to Da mAx y0!!!!1!!" A wheel is a wheel, buy it if you like it.
I love my GT3's, they look sexy as hell and are pretty light. I simply bought it because I liked how it looked and had teh money to buy it.

real wheels really dont cost that much more. (yes there are exceptions) But there are a lot of nice wheels out there for a reasonable price

Forged Volks are harder to bend. You have to hit a fucked up pothole really hard with low profile tires to bend or crack a forged wheel. I know... I thought for sure my wheel was toast one night. I hit a hole so friggin hard I almost cried. When I got out to look at the damage there was none.

You answered your own question, just get the Rota's or any similarly priced rim.

Pick up some Rotas and you wont be disappointed. Rotas get a lot of respect where i come from and they look just as good as the original Spoon and Mugen rims etc. I just bought some red GT3's for my white 92 Teg and they look sick, i think they would look great for your car too .
