so far its a rebuilding a type r it has comptech header, milled .010, ctr cams, pnp, and will be running a chipped computer will this setup need tuning and about what hp i m i looking to make

it will need to be tuned and after its tuned youll know the hp number

CTR CAMS
MILLED HEAD .010
comptech header
iceman intake
pnp head
everything else stock just a new rebuilt motor.

i was aksing do i need to tune my motor or can i still run off the stock type r ecu i have. If i dont tune it and run the stock type r ecu will this be harnmful to my new motor since its a basic rebuilt.

 

Yeah i would get it tuned. with that setup i would say your looking at 180-190 whp and 150-160 tq

 

but if i dont tune it would it hurt my motor with teh stock type r ecu thats what im asking

 

It will not hurt your motor... But you cant expect you car to run a 100% like you want it to with out tuning it..
