Why does everyone use the JDM B16A motor not the JDM B16B motor?

The b16a is the 92-95 SiR motor in Japan, it was a very common motor at the time. The b16b was found in the Civic Type R model. This motor wasn't massly produced and is very expensive. For the price of this motor, you can get a b18c that will put out more power than the b16b.

and because here in California we have smog laws. the B16B won't pass the B.A.R. test

 

What is the differance tho? is the head different? or is it just obdX-obdX i still dun get it?
ninja edit.. i mean i understand that they are RARE but are they better quality than the B16A ?

Not worth the money IMO.
