How much are you lowering by? I would say anywhere near a 2.0" drop and you may need a camber kit. It's hard to say with any certainty since everyone seems a little different. I had a 1.4" drop and needed a kit for the rear. I had them aligned after the drop and noticed the rear was 1.9 for camber. Hence the kit.

You may be able to get away with it but then again maybe not. It is of course cheaper to get it drop and the camber kit done at the same time. But I would say most people are safe with up to 1.5" drop without a camber kit.

I agree that you are more likely to need one for the rear than the front, and that up to 1.5" of drop will probably not be a probem. Farther than that......

I think you need a camber kit no matter how low you drop your car. It'll save you money in the long run on tires. That's just my opinion.

I have Progress fronts and Ingalls rears. It was around $150 from what I can remember. There was an issue with the Ingalls front kits so I got the Progress kit for the front. They have a new kit out now I believe so everything is probably different now.

That is $150 per kit and not for both front and rear kits. Just wanted to clarify....
