Default sunroof prob -- never seen before ~Searched~

I've never seen this type of sunroof malfunction because I've never owned a car w/ a sunroof like this (one that pops up at the back and slides back at the front)...all my sunroofs (in the GTI, the benz, and my probe) all slide into the roof... In any event... My sunroof got all fucked up, and I have no idea how it happend or why..was pretty much driving alll day w/ it all the way back..then parked it when I got to a friend's house and closed it...it was a bit slow closing, but closed fine so I didn't think anything of it (just said Hrm, car's off, things tend to move slower when it's off...oh well)...Then I go to leave and open it, and it opens half way, so I get out the car and look at it, well it never popped up all the way b4 it started to come back and left like 2 scratch marks in my roof like 2 inches back from the back of the sunroof..., so I pulled it up and it popped up..then I went to close it and the side gasket wouldn't fold up right because it kept dropping b4 it slid in all the way..iono what's wrong with it, it's ******* weird, finally I ended up closing it almost all the way and then lifting it up and sticking the gasket back in there and then closed it, it seemed ot seat fine...but it's like I'm w/o a sunroof now, and i have no idea what in the blue expletive is wrong with it...gonna take it to a friend tomorrow who knows hondas inside and out -- I'll see what he has to say, I'm sure he's seen it before, but anybody know what could have caused this or what exactly happend? I know the motor isn't shot despite how slow it moved b/c after it was seated right and closed, and I press the close button, u can hear the motor pulling strong like it's supposed to.... I think for now it won't let any water in, but this is a weird *** problem..by the way, I tried opening up the sunroof after it seated fine and it just tried going back w/o popping up, popped up about half of what it usually does and started moving back, then got jammed and stopped, it's almost like there's something in the track, had to close it almost all the way and push teh gasket back in again to get it to close and seat right...I'm thinking the gasket's really twisted to expletive and the sunroof's got too much resistance...I don't give 2 ***** about the scratches in the roof...think of them as decals as they're symetric on both sides, iono, but it's more the working of the sunroof that's concerning the **** ou tta me, teh way it is now Ir eally don't htink it'll leak b/c it seems to be seated perfectly...but the only way to tell that is for it to rain...

Any help would be appreciated

You should just be able to lube the tracks with white lithium. That usually takes care of it.

I was thinking about that, but it's not even popping up....I think taht's the main problem, but how could the tracks go from fine earlier in the day to completely FUCKED later? Just to subtle....
