ive got an h22 in my 96 accord ..... a buddy of mine got the motor for me and i also have a spare tranny in my shed that im going to rebuild .. my dilemma is .. is that both trannys have a white sticker on them that say p2a5.... isnt it an accord tranny .. please correct me if im mistaken ..also is there any benefits to haveing this transmission ??????

 

P2a5 is a Accord And Prelude transmission

I dono anything about there performance,

 

Pull one apart and start counting the teeth, measuring the diameters and crap, etc...

m2b4...jdm lsd h22a tranny
m2s4...usdm h23a1 tranny/possibly also JDM f22b tranny as well
m2f4...usdm h22a1 tranny
m2ya...usdm h22a4 tranny
m2u4...usdm type sh tranny

 

i dont know about the tranny numbers.. but i just rebuilt my accord tranny for my h22... i just put in new syncros (gear-speed) and a phantom grip... just keep everything clean and make sure you dont messup the gear orders and stuff haha.. the befits of using an accord tranny i have heard ... is if you go boost.. these trannies have taller gears i guess... thats why i stuck with it... good luck.
