Ball bearing And Non ball bearing turbo (Shaft Play)

Im going to go see a used tubo. The guy say is ball bearing... How do i know he guys is not lieing to me... and is a real ball bearing .....

And

How can i tell if it has Shaft Play? (the turbo is of the car)

if the shaft moves much at all, it has some shaft play, but you don't want it too tight like no movement

and you would have to look up the code of the turbo unless it acculy says ball bearing on it
