Default Quick K-Series Question

Plans for swapping the k-series motor are starting to unfold and I just had a quick question.

The axels will obviously not work with the new motor and hasport offers axels specifically for the k-series into the dc chasis. My question is this: Their level 1 axel is rated to handle up to 200whp. Should I really worry about upgrading to level 2 (400whp) if I am going n/a and hopefully putting down 220whp or so?

Just wondering b/c I couldnt see the stock axels handleing anymore then an aftermarket axle and the stock seem to do just fine with applications under 250whp.

Thanks

do not buy the stage 1 or 2 axles. The stock ones are stronger. You need to use the stock K axles with B outer or stock K axles with the K outers and Circuitworx hubs. I run that last combo in my car and I pull 1.6 60fts all day. You can do the same in your DC

heres how to make your axles.

if you have a 5 lug conversion.. i heard you can use k series axles without b-series outer hubs..

ive seen some amazing thing happen with stock axels. one friend has a built k series on hasport stage 2's and they are great. but ive also seen a boosted ls/vtec puttin out over 350 on stock b16 axels and they have held up for about a year and a half of HEAVY driving. i guess its how confident you are in your axels cause ive personally both extreme ends of the spectrum

It's actually been discovered now that you can just use the rsx base axles. I'm using stock rsx base axles with the inner hubs swapped left and right.
