Default How many oxygen sensors needed for 2000 v6 Accord? Help!

My 2000 Accord has 93K, and I need oxgyen sensors. I need to know how many are needed, is this a job I can do, and if I can't do myself, how much should i pay? Should I buy the parts and let a local mechanic put it on or the dealer? Help!

well I think there are only 2 O2 sensors, one before catalyst and one after. But if you get the code you should know right away which one you need, is not likely you need both at the same time.

I say buy it off the internet, and install it yourself; it's really simple.

If you buy it from your local Honda dealership (like I did), you're expecting to pay some 150 bucks, just for the sensor itself.

https://www.automedicsupply.com/ Go there and check out some aftermarket prices. Note: I have never bought anything from that site, so I dont know how's thier customer service, etc...

Unless the check engine light is on you don't need to replace them. Don't believe the crap they give you on the commercials that you should replace them every XXX miles.
