anyone ever done one of those filter relocation kits on a rex? if so

You mean the oil filter that screws into the block? Moving that by any means sound iffy.

Maybe he means the fuel filter on the firewall...

 

He means relocate the oil filter some people do it for ease of replacement.

 

Here's what I remember about it:

The kit floating around for B-series uses a stock Ford oil filter- so you'll be using a different replacement part.

Tolerances on the relocation plate vary- they tend to leak oil

Plumbing that up makes changing the filter a snap- mount it on the firewall.

May as well add a T-fitting and install an oil temp sensor.

It's also the perfect time to rig up that oil cooler.

 

what about Greddy they make one.I would imagine that Greddy would still use a honda filter.

 

Many racers relocate their oil filter. I would suggest searching in the RR/AX forum.
