Show me HIDs on a 92-95 stock housing
Can someone show me HIDs on a the stock USDM Headlight housing on a 92-95 civic. I want to see if they scatter the light and blind people from what I have heard.
Thanks
Thanks
They don't blind people. That's just what the people who spent $500 retrofitting their lights that are still illegal tell you.
They do not have nearly as good of a cutoff as retro's but the light output is like 100x better than stock, and they look cool.
I will try to find a pic of mine, but pics don't do it justice.

they do blind people. i dont know how many times i have been driving at night and been blinded by a civic with a kit. if you are going to do it do it right. a kit is a half *** way to accomplish hid's.
Have u heard anything about this kit? It has a casper cover and seems to be a good price.

they blind people because the H4 reflects light off of different parts of the reflector for high and low, the HID floods the whole reflector making it like the highs and lows are on at the same time. I used caspers electronics billet HID H4 shields to correct this and I don't get high beamed anymore.

Every time I see an ******* like you coming the other way, I make sure to leave my high beams on.

on jdm headlights (h4 fits):

They dont blind oncoming traffic, the main problem is i dont get enough light on the road. Does anyone know if switching to crystal headlights will help? like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1

before installing the housing, i made it so that my beams were as centered as possible and then leveled them out using a garage while they were on.
I light up street signs 1/4 mile away seems like and when driving on non-lit roads i can see quite a bit ahead.

Didnt read the entire post so i dont know if anyone has said it yet.. But basically having HID's on the stock housing is the dumbest thing ever... Due to the fact that the stock headlights have light scatters on the lense of the lights, thats why u see all the weird blurry lines inside a 92-95 civic headlight. Those lines are made for halogon bulbs to help even out the glare and produce better lighting, But with HID, the light tends to shoot straight and at a beam, so those scatter lines will do nothing but scatter the HID beam into all the wrong directions

What do you mean by installing the housing? Did you mean you disassembled your headlights?

And i've even made a movie:

They don't blind people... they just glare as a biotch.

Yup took out all the ajustment screws and worked it into specs.
it was a a pain but i think quality vision is worth it.
