Default tranny question

do i have to have a hydro tranny to put on a ls swap coz someone told me about it that i should get a hydro coz cable wont work..is it true? (unless i get it converted)

Well you have to tell us what chassis you are using before you ask if it'll work.

Now with that out of the way, in an EF chassis you can use either a Cable or Hydro setup as Hasport ofters a mount kit for both. If you are using the EG/EK chassis, a complete bolt in affair would be using the hydro setup but Hasport also offers a kit to allow you to use a cable transmission. God knows why you would want to put an older transmission into the car, but whatever floats the boat.

Hydro tranny.If u want cable u have to do the hydro/cable convertion.
