How to Remove Door Panels
Ok. Newbie here. I don't know how to remove the door panels on my 2002 Accord LX 4 door. I have removed all the screws but I can't get the top part off. The door handle is keeping me from lifting the door panel up high. Also, it seems to be attached at the top somehow. Does anyone have step by step directions on how to do this? I have searched for this an cannot find this topic anywhere.
Thanks!
BTW: This is the front door that I am working on. (Dont know if that matters)

You have to remove the piece that covers the mirror on the inside. It's sort of a triangle shape. You have to lift up on the door pannel because it sits in the groove for the window. I just removed mine last night.
BTW, you have to remove the door handle.

Remove the screw from the inside door handle pull it towards the back of the car and then out.
If you have power locks unplug the connector and slide the clip off of the open rod.
Take the screw out from the bottom of the grab handle.
The grab the bottom of the door and pull it out (there will be quite a bit of resistance).
Once the clips free themselves pull up on the panel to release it from the window track and unplug the remaining connectors.

This would be a case where a $15 Haynes manual would be invaluable, showing you exactly where the screws / clips are, what order to remove things, etc. Or a Helms manual (~ $75?) of course.

But when you're trying to get your new speakers in the car without your wife seeing, then it is important to get it done without having to run to the store.
