Default Searched Skunk Pro 2 Cams

I have researched and found great things about the pro series skunk cams. I just can't find any good information on the pro series 2s vs the 1s.

I have heard alot about compression with these cams, and my question is go with pro 1s or pro2s?

Current setup:

JDM B18C Block (stock compression)
I/H/E (2.5" collector, full catback apex'i)
60 shot Nitrous

and i have skunk proseries valve springs and retainers, also skunk2 cam gears waiting on a decision of the cams to be installed. Any help is great.

Pro1's. The 2's need more head flow to take advatage of the duration, and higher RPM's

Both of those cams u mentioned need more compression then a stock GSR, bump your compression up or go with a more mild cam! I run the pro 2's and love them Good luck with the setup!

If so, could you please the dynamics of how that works. Wouldn't adjusting the EX opening and IN closing compensate for the lower compression, and still increase BHP?

how will pro1 cams perform under nitrous? also this build has gotten pretty expensive, i have a buddy who wants my pro series valve springs and retainers, i found a set of new JG valve springs and retainers for quite a bit cheaper. Are the skunk2 valve springs that much better than the JG?

for your sake, run s2 springs and retainers. valvetrain is not an area to cheap out on. plus if you were to have any issues in the future you have a better chance of getting help from them.

the skunk IIIs. not the pro series. i really want to make a decision and all these differents opions are killing it. i am just trying to find a cam that will give me the most hp gains, and still be streetable on a somewhat daily basis.

I dynoed both of those on the same motor, the Pro1's made more to 8000 RPM. the stg 3's more after 8200. The Pro1's made alot more before VTEC, that would be my choice, but to each his own.

so out of all the brands of cams in the same category, Skunk2 Pro 1s will deliever the most? they are quite a bit more expensive. just making sure before making the investment
