Default Question about bearing support on intermediate shaft

I have a 92 Prelude I bought with a H22a4 motor swap already done. I have been hearing a rattle in the car at some speeds and investigated to find the bearing support on the intermediate shaft completely unmounted from the block. Here are my questions (pardon the ignorance indicated by the first one).

1). Is the intermediate shaft and half shaft the same thing?

2). Will the bearing support of a '92 car bolt up to the H22a4 block (are the mounting holes in the same places)?

3). I think the shaft is bent which may explain the unmounted condition. I pulled a bolt from another (93) Prelude and it slid into the lower mounting hole, but wouldn't take hold. I'm guessing the threads may have stripped out from the vibration caused by the bent intermediate shaft. Should this be the case, is there any way to retap this or otherwise get the shaft mounted back to the block?

Sorry for the length of this post, but I need this car to be road worthy and your "average mechanic" can't really answer these questions. Any and all help greatly appreciated.

I am not a mechanic but swapping an H23 out for an H22A4 I have some experience...

1) yes, the half-shaft is often referred to as the intermediate shaft.

2) the bracket on the half-shaft (where the seal and bearig are located) will bolt up fine to an H22A4. There are (3) bolts that hold the shaft onto the block. All three are the same size (12 mm, I think)....2 of the 3 are the same size in length, but the third is a bit longer or has a wider thread size (might be the issue...)

3) tapping is an option, but I think your problem is that common thinking would say that the (3) bolts should be the same size...but Honda thinking likes to mess with us

Thanks for the info. I've already ordered the correct bolts to eliminate that as the problem and picked up another half shaft (used of course as they are $300 from Honda) as I think this one really does need to be replaced.
