Check engine light problem!

Ok, I start my car. Check engine light is not on. I drive for 4 or so minutes, then it comes on and stays on. Any ideas?

That could be caused by pretty much everything. Take it to advance auto parts or somewhere that does diagnostics checks for free or cheap. Or you could jump the ecu, and get some vague error code.

What would be vague about the error code?

Sounds like an o2 sensor or something that needs heating up to me.
