1995-1997 Accord V6 ECU - POG
Hello H-T members
I have a unique application. It's a 1995 Accord V6, but I've converted her to manual, using a 88-89 Acura Legend manual transmission.
There was a lot of custom work involved. Custom axels, intermidiate shafts, custom engine mounts, tranny mounts. A part of the block needed to be shaved off as well ... All in all, the swap is / was a sucess !!
It's been a little over a year now, and the OBDII ECU / TCM are flagging 10 check engine lights. Some for valves in the automatic tranny that are not opened, gear selector solenoids etc ....
I need to be able to do the following
1. Clear the codes completely, maybe setting up a loopback to clear every 15 seconds
2. Get a timing/ fuel tuner custom map done for the ECU, since hondata, and every other option are not available for this engine
I have a spare ECU that I'm willing to ship to the prespective eletronic engineer. I've posted this info up in a lot of boards, all to dead ends and just suggestions to go full standalone
any ideas ?
inside of the ECU

any help would be good
thanks

try jet's ecu package, idk about the codes but for the fuel maps and timing they do that. there a pretty good company imo also talk to afaccord and crono139 they have both got this ecu in their cars too..oh and btw the car looks really good
Try a member by the name of "midnight racer x" (a.k.a. MRX) on CB7Tuner. He sells chipped ECU's. Here's a link to his thread.

Not sure if he'll be able to help you but it can't hurt to ask.

ive had my chipped ecu in about a week, and the gains were considerable, for examle no down shifting going up hills and the smothness of the car is much better now. Ill post a dyno sheet when i get a new scanner but before the ecu i was at 139 whp and 140 wtq and now im at 148.4 whp and 150 wtq, and my gas milage has actually gone + im using 93 octane. hope this hells plus this guy got the same results https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1317688
hopefully this will stop the codes too it did with mine, i never checked what the cel was for but when i put the ecu back in the cel was off

Thats if JET does the V6 ecu's. On there site they don't say they do or don't.
The only downside with JET is if you make a change you need to send it back in to get reprogramed right?

yes that's the only downside, i talked to one of the guys at jet and they said the do both 4 cylinders and 6 and both types of transmissions. you only need to get it if you do something major like valve train or fi or something of that nature, but for as cheap as $220 = shipping one way its not a bad deal
Basically, I guess JET will reprogram the ECU from the V6. You send them your ECU and a list of the mods you've done. Then they take the info and your ECU and reprogram for what you have done, then send it back to you. But if you make any changes like adding a turbo, nitrous, cams, ect, you'll need to send your ECU back into them so they can reprogram it again.
I hope thats what you were asking for.
