i have a 98 prelude base and i was wondering if anyone could give me some advice about whether to go with the 17's or 18's. which are better for performnce?
mostly for drag and street use.
thanks!!

Why bother with bigger wheels, just get SH wheels and put sticky tires on them. I'd sell mine as long as I can find some rims to replace them.

Big wheels suck for performance especially for drag racing. Get the lightest, smallest wheels you can find if you want performance.

i have the stock 16s that are suposedly lighter than the sh wheels and look pretty nice for factory. should i just stick with them and get some stickier tires?
if this is the case then what would be the best tire for daily driver and drag?

I mean what is your set up?
Thats pretty much the most difficult combo right there.. take your pick of drag radials I guess, but don't expect to get much more than 20,000 miles out of them..

Yeah, roll stock until you're ready to spend the $$$$$ for good wheels.
I've been down that road of getting cheapo 17s because you don't know any better and it ends up just being a waste.

slips are 500shipped for 16's. I am not getting defensive...I dont own a set...YET. I was just throwing the option out there for him to consider. I personally think that ROTAs are not a bad rim. I think they are good for someone that wants something that looks nice, saves a little money that can be put into the engine...
not attacking you or rotas dude...your right to put out the option. but for drag you need a stronger wheel than just a multipiece look good wheel. depends on how hard your're going to push it...
off topic but the works emotions dont come in our bolt pattern....
