Default 06 SI: audio/climate controls panel layout

Hey,

This is my first post here. I'm just about to buy an 06 SI and I've been doing some heavy research. I was hoping someone with an SI (without the factory installed Navigation system) could take a photo of their interior dash? I've sat inside an non-EX/SI 06 and the dash was completely different than the one that shows the navi installed. I went in to another dealer and talked to the service guy. I even looked on his computer screen showing the blow-up of all the components, but it was unclear to me because there were a ton of parts on the screen and I was rushed. And looking at the photos I can find show that there is a real difference in the dash. One jackass sales guy tried to tell me it was because the navigation screen makes it look flat. Another example of what classic A-holes those guys are. I mean do they even know their cars they're selling? ha.
I'm trying to clear this up because the dash set-up on the Civic I sat in, the non-EX/SI was extremely different than what Honda Civics tend to have. The entire panel an huge curve to it, and the way everything is installed...it looks VERY VERY hard to install aftermarket CD/DVD players.
and if anyone made it to the end of this post, thank you.

cheers

To install a CD/DVD player all you would have to do is buy the dash trim from the DX model. Also I guess you'd have to wire up the harness yourself.

This is how the NON-Navigation Si/EX looks:

This is the DX with radio installed:

hey thanks a lot for the photos man!
'ppreciate it.
yeah looks like it's gonna be hard for me to get it from the dealer with the version of the dash that allows for easier aftermarket installation. I don't see that many groove lines, that panel seems to run continuously across to the left side of the steering wheel. huge panel. hmmm
but thanks again

It's POSTED in the manual which no one seems to read. Seriously, read it and you'll find features I'm willing to be you still don't know about.

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

Go to Parts, 06 civic ex navi, instrument panel driver side...

Part #12. You will need to buy the brackets as well in the same pic.

You can get them from your local dealer or just if you dont wanna go to a dealer... at least buy an OEM part for cheaper than that aftermarket crap on ebay... http://www.collegehillshondaparts.com/ or http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com or whatever other ones are out there.
the part number is 77250-SNA-A01ZA its like 33 bucks! (will need brackets too p/n 77256-SNA-A00 and 77255-SNA-A00, they are like 2 bucks, if your doing single din radio you will need pocket too, you can get generic one from any car stereo shop)
