Default b16a? wtf!!!

so i got my car on the dyno today and first pull i did 137whp. i said that ok it needs tuned, so about 2 hours later my last pull was 146whp and 103 torque.WTF!!!! i have type r cams, type r intake manifold, gsr throttle body, aem cam gears, greddy header, 5zeigen exhaust, j's racing intake, type r tranny. can someone explain to me why such low numbers??????? is the gsr throttle body holding me back? i have a chipped ecu and thats what they used to tune it. i got it done at intech racing. HELP

you should probly change your screen-name, considering those dyno numbers...

You should probably retake a grade school English class, given that post. Like what was already said I would definitely do a leak down and compression test. Those numbers do seem awfully low for your said setup.

Your #s are low for that setup, but things that have a role on #s too are the type of dyno and weather. After you fix whatever may be wrong, you should get nicer #s probably around 160ishHP and 115ishtq.(just basing it on what a friend pulled on a dynojet a couple of weeks ago...he has a similar setup except AEBS IM &TB, and b16 tranny)

But yeah, those numbers seem pretty wacky.

the guy who tuned it said that the gsr throttle body is holding it back because of the type r intake manifold. he said that the gsr is too small.

yea of course if u compare it to type r tb and is not that much of a difference if ur using a 2.5 charge pipe but if ur using a 3 inch charge pipe the it is (bottle neck)

What's your compression ratio? If it's below 10.6 or 11:1 I'd expect the R cams just aren't the right cams for you.

if you truly have type R valvetrain and revving past 8500rpm then the numbers are low, however, if you left the rev limiter alone the numbers are on key, the type R valvetrain is designed to shine up top. dont expect much more from bolt ons than 150whp. bump compression, get the motor spinning and numbers will start jumping quicker.

well, if you dont know for sure i wouldnt rev is too much past 8200. even if they are type R's dont expect to see much higher numbers, maybe 10whp or so.

What's the elevation where you are? People at high elevations are going to dyno a lot lower than say, someone near sea level.

ah, in WA, elevation could play a big part, type of dyno will too.
