How do I change the headlight bulbs on my 2002 accord v6 sedan?
I want to throw in my Silverstars. Can anyone show me how to. I know its easy, but I don't want to mess up... How long should it take?

how long it take? for me or you?
because i could pop one in in less than 30 second.
Anyway, there's pictured step by step instruction in your owner's manual but since you asked.
well, you have locate the thing frist, passenger side should be alot easier since there's nothing blocking the view.
slip your hand in there, undo the harness by pressing the clip and pull, turn the blub CCW to unstuck the blub.
installation is the same, make sure you don't touch the bulb.
the driver side is more tricky, since the air box is right there, you might need to ask someone with a smaller hand if you are big and husky

It says you have to remove the resvoir tank o nthe drivers side... I could get the sotck one in and out real easy on the passenger, but for some reason I couldnt fit i nthe silverstar. it was like it isnt shaped right.

I never said I was smart and wasnt making fun of the question or the person posting it.
I would never ask a question like that without trying to figure it outmyself first. Its just a light bulb, c' mon not an engine swap!

10:06 PM 4/29/2006) HONCORD: Hey, do you always jump to help people that dont like to think on their own? I think that if a person cant change a light bulb, should even drive a car.
(10:09 PM 4/29/2006) iam7head: wow, half of the driver in the USA doesn't know how to change their lightblub.
He asked for help and what's wrong with that? not everyone is handy around things.
why you even bother to im me? you have some sort of anger problem? do you feel burning inside when you see one human being helping another human being?
there's nothing wrong with asking for help, this is why we have honda-tech in the first place.
he asked because he wasn't sure, is that not reasonable enough for you?
do we all have to obey your rules?
grow up yeah?

Yeah, they are they are 9006. I know how to take out and put in bulbs. I took out the stock and it slides in and out EASY, but the Silverstar won't fit in for some reason. Once I can fix this issue then I need to know how to take out/ put in the resivuor it says to move. I read the instruction, I just need some help on things that aren't covered.
One thing: Told to use a brain.
Is that a crime?
Who pissed in your sereal this morning?
Drop the conversation.
Why are you still talking about it?????
Life goes on!
Dude and you told me to grow up? ha ha ha
P.S. Noone flamed you, you took it that way, jus cuz you thought.
It was a question.
Enough time waisted on a pointless and useless conversation

Can anyone help me out? This is what I need help with:
1. Why won't the Silverstars fit in easy? ( Its like they are mis-shaped)
2. How do I take out the resivour that it says needs to be removed to change the driver side bulb?
Yes, they are the right number (9006) and I know how to change headlight bulbs, but these aren't fitting for whatever reason.

1. On the base of the bulb there are three notches, align the notches with the three slots in the headlight assembly. You may have to turn the headlight retaining collar a little.
2. I'm not that familiar with the engine bay of the 2002 accord V6 sedan, but most reservoirs just pull straight up and out, no tools. (On some cars there might be a bolt holding it.)
Good luck.

Yeah, I tryed to align the notched and just push in.. Hmm.. I am going to try again when I get home in a few and I will post results...
I tryed to just pull the reservoir out, but I couldnt get it to budge. I will try again when I get home in about 30 minutes.. It will be light out too so that should make it easier.

Clip on the buld should be facing up. make sure you got the right bulb, because if you didnt the notches wont line up correctly.
P.S. Sorry about last night fight with iam7head.

Yeah its the right bulb. When you first put the bulb in which way should the part that the harness hooks into be facing? Like facing down, but offcenter right?

Yeah pretty much like that. Just slide the bulb in with the connector facing down and rotate it back and forth some you should feel it fall right into place. (why did that turn me on?)

WOOOOOW. Yeah I am an idiot. I was putting them in the high beam slots
. Once I figured out I was doing that it took no time.

you have to remove the coolany overflow tank
for both bulbs
unplug wire harness
you then turn locking ring left to unlock
you remove old bulb
you insert new bulb holding it by the base
turn locking ring right until it locks
plug in wire harness
If you touch the bulb with your skin you will cause it to explode when it heats of the oil from your skin and the glass shatters.
P.S. This thread hit the toilet quick...........
