Ok, i have a problem with my car. i recently rebuilt my engine. Before that the car was sitting in my back yard for a couple of months and i started it everyonce i a while. I moved the car to my drive way so i can start the work on the engine. after 2 months i finally got everything put back together. I try and start it today but i wont cause my relay is making a buzzing sound. so i thought it was just messed up so i go buy a new one but it does the same thing. When i turn it to the on position is when i does it. It sounds like this........ bzz bzz bzz bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. the buzzing sequence changes though it buzzes once for one time then it might buzz for seven times the next time i turn it to the on position. while it does that it flashes the check engine light and the led in the ecu flashes along with the relay buzzing. Dont know what it is so if any of you can throw some ideas at me it would be alot of help, thx

 

hmm...never heard of this problem...hows the wireing in the engine bay look? everything went together ok?

Is the battery dead? Check the voltage, preferably while trying to crank the engine.

 

everything should be all good in the engine. i double checked to see if any wire where loose or hoses and everything is in OK. It cranks over but it wont start cause of that problem. And the battery is low but im using jumper cables to try start it.

 

did you check all the ground wires as well?
i had problems with the main relay and replaced it, still didnt run, turned out the fuel pump was out due to an extreme amount of rust in the gas tank and on the pump. but the car had been sitting for about 4 years.
check the connector between the relay and the pump under you cargo thing(crx) or your seat(civic) for current
if theres power its your pump

 

i replace the fuel pump before my car went out of commision. That was about a year ago. Like i said i would start it every once in a while and it would run fine. last time i started it was about a month ago and it was running fine.

 

bump. Im still stumped on this dont know what to look for.
