I don't know whether to do my exhaust myself or not...
I've never done anything like it before myself, I don't have a welder so Im not sure what Im going to do, I really don't want to go fork out a ton of money to have it done though. Is it that hard to do?
Its a catback Apexi N1 for a 98 Civic Ex 2 door.

Are you joking? Installing an exhaust isn't **** and you shouldn't need a welder. Lift up your skirt, grab your ***** and quit whinnin' get that **** done!
there are two options.
1. buy the whole apexi n1 catback system for the car for around $500. all boltons. can be installed under 2 hours if you know what you are doing.
2. buy the apexi n1 muffler, go to a custom welding shop and get it welded there with catback piping. the muffler will go around 125, piping around 200. if you get mandrel bent piping, it might be close to 350...
what i recommend? go with the full apexi kit and install it yourself. its BOLTONS!!! the hardest part is getting the stock exhaust off. if all else fails, just take a saw to it and hack away.

installation time= 2 hours max if you work slowly, do it on jack stands and have to walk 20 feet to get tools. only part that may give you trouble is if your flanges are extremely rusted, if that is the case make good friends with PB blaster, soak the flanges in bolts and come back in 10 minutes. this all assuming that you don't have a torch good luck!
I already have the catback system here. Its in the box I just don't know if I can do it myself. I don't really know a lot about working on cars although I want to, but I don't want to screw it up.
And nothing should be rusted because I got a brand new stock catback on there just about 3 months ago.

it should be an un-bolt to bolt-on operation...in this case find out what size wrenches you will need, most likely a 14mm...get a box end wrench (preferably a gear wrench) and a socket wrench with the corresponding size. unbolt the flanges and the pipes will be unhooked slide them out of the hangers (if you need to use a flat head screw driver to help the metal hooks out) but don't damage the rubber hangers you may reuse them. put the new exhaust in the hangers and bolt them up with the gaskets inbetween as provided line up the flanges straight so there are no leaks and tighten them down the rest of the way. let the car down start it up listen for leaks if it doesnt leak take it for a ride and enjoy!

You shouldn't need a welder. All exhaust systems that you buy are usually put together buy bolting them together.
