I have a 2000 honda civic ex and i want to to take out the stock grill and put some mesh in its place. Can i do that myself or do i need to take it somewhere and get it done?

 

take the bumper off. then remove the grill from behind the bumper. Which grill are you talking about, the upper grill (between headlights) or lower grill (in front of radiator)? regardless you need the bumper off. there are about... screw/bolts holding it on. 5 on top, 2 on bottom, 1 on each fender. i think....! check it out.

 

hey I juss took my grill out and did the same thing its pretty easy, all u gotta do is open the hood and take of the grill it might take some time but u can get the grill off without takin off the bumper for sure

 

You'll want to take the bumper off, cut out the stock grill and add your own. You can get grill anywhere. Home Depot, any warehouse that sells things to fix your house, etc should work. And yes, this can easily be done in an hour. No need to take it somewhere, if you're lost on what to do.. Have some friends, or your Dad help you.

 

I am wanting to replace both the upper and lower grills. How do i mount the new grill on there once i get the other one out?
