Default COMP CLUTCH TWIN DISK HELP !!!!

Ok guys I ordered my twin disk for my 92-93 cable setup. I did all proper steps (grind block, even reinforced all my brackets dealing with the cable setup). But I cant get the travel I need and I just bent the clutch release cable arm on the out side of the trans. !!!! I cant think of anything but I may have got a hydro clutch if they are different. It doesnt even disengage and right before it bent the fork I finally heard the plates start to chatter. I have never heard of anyone having this problem. Any info would help tons.

Also tried to look up part numbers but I cant find any mine is TW-8026-CER if that will help. Also I know to call monday and check but they are closed as of now so I am looking for any insite I can get. Thanks again

92-3 should be the same as the 92 up hydro. it is the 90-91 thats different. and even then it is only a spline circumference difference. (if i remember correctly) because i have an aluminum flywheel out of my hydro that i put into my friends ef. and it is a b series cable swap.

The splines should be about the only difference. Are you sure you are not over-engaging it? You will onlyhave about 2 inches of pedal travel from fully open to fully closed. Dont forget your pedal stop also. Twin disc clutch has very little pedal travel.

when we origionally installed it it came with a hydraulic throw out bearing so we used a regular cable throw out bearing. turns out the ones comp uses are different than any off the shelf one. so they sent us the correct bearing, but more problems arose when we installed the one on saturday than relized it doesnt even touch the pressure plate when installed. i think the kit we received was missing some kind of shim or something. hopefully the problem will be solved tonight, comp is sending us an ironman thats due today

i hated you're car saturday steve

Yes he should have noticed the difference in the splines when he installed it.

TW-8026-CER is for the hydro tranny and the kit comes with everything from the modified hydro throw out bearing, pilot bearing clutch alingment tool and flywheel bolts. If you have a cable please specify you have a cable tranny. We use and sell comp. clutches so if you have any trouble please let us know. We would have happy to help. I run a comp. twin in my car too and love it.
