even though the obx intake manifold only accpets up to 66 mm throttle body, for a sohc vtec, its half the price of the skunk 2 manifold. Is there a reason for this? both not carb approved yet. If I were to get skunk 2 manifold would I just be paying for the name?

most likely yes about the brand name thing. However just consider that almost all OBX products fail in one way or another after a very short time.

What I would reccomend doing that would cost about as much as an OBX mani.(maybe a little more) is to port match the OEM IM @ the head and TB, as well as a thermal gasket.

 

dont cheap out on **** man.. if you get the OBX you will regret it or wish you got the skunk2, and if it sucks you probly have to get the skunk2. do it right the first time
