Default Are my gauges suppose to be amber?

When i got my 99 civic ex not long ago, i noticed that when at night, the entire gauge cluster is lit up brightly in white light. Its okay but it does get distracting sometimes. But is my entire gauge cluster suppose to be not lit up but just the numbers behind the cluster? I think someone may of done something to it, but not sure what. Any advice?

I'm not too familiar with EK clusters. However, on my EG all the numbers, and little lines to indicate which speed your at light up. I'm assuming that this would be the same on EK, if not a little different.

in the ex cluster there's simply bulbs in a triangle pattern around ur speedo, one on the other side of ur tach, and two on teh rigth side, they just shine through clearness, if u bend ur head and look at it from an angle u can see where they're coming from directly

It's not stock, that's for sure. Unless your cluster is in kilometers instead of miles per hour. Normally, they come in white.
