help i'm losing oil
i need help i'm losing oil in my car there are no leaks but if i travel for like say 200km i lose more than half the oil in my car, and after an oil change in 2 days my oil goes black completely, does anybody know what it could be could it be rings or my valves
high speed or high rpm? mine was doing that and it turned out to be a bad pcv valve and plugged hose leading to the pcv valve. when my rpm's got too high the pressure in the crankcase got too high and blew oil through the rings
does that explain why the oil turns black too and please where is the pcv valve my car is a 1.6i 16v and how do i know that it is bad by visual inspection
Look under your trans, bet there os some oil there too. Blocked PCV will force oil out the seals more than making it burn oil, high speeds high rpms smoking is oil rings. Decelerations smoking is valve stem seals.
If your car smoke alot and the color of the smoke is blue kinda, than means your engine is pumping oil. You can fix it by changing the rings or if you are outta cash, buy that sticky stuff made by STP. It's so sticky that it will stay at the bottom of your block engine hehe. But really I wouldn't recommand to put STP in your car, unless you don't really care about your engine.

Alot of local shops have an emissions test computer. By testing your exhaust gasses they can tell if your valve is bad, your o2 sensor is bad etc. You might want to try that to see if you can isolate the problem. Just a shot in the dark.
