Default Front tire wear - causes?

Both of my front tires are worn slick on the inside, but appear to be fine on the outside and middle. Is there any easy answer for why? Is there a common cause?

1992 2D Accord LX with 238,000 miles if that helps anything.

Thanks.

Is the car stock? Any suspension work done like lowering springs?

Get an alignment. When getting the alignment, make sure you get a print out of the specs.

How long has it been since an alignment? How long has it been since you've rotated the tires?

Could it be as simple as over inflation of the tires? If you pump it up too much you begin to get the arch on the tire, and if you have too little pressure it wears more on the outside with a dimple in the middle.

Maybe its just an aligment, if your car has stock suspension.

First off, do you rotate your tires??? Second, If your car is dropped then your tires are butterflying. If this is the case then you might want to consider getting a camber kit. If you're car is not dropped then you may just need an alignment.

Car is stock.

Tires have not been rotated in 10K miles, but they were NEW then. Whatever is happening is eating up tires fast.

It could be an alignment. In an older car that I had, old springs and struts caused this when the front end lowered, so I was wondering if maybe the same type of thing happens with these cars when the get too old. Also, I have seen alignments eat up tires, but never both on the inside like this. It steers straight, but I know that doesn't mean that it is aligned.

sounds like you got too much negative camber,,

could be worn suspension parts,
alignemt is way off,

has car been in a frt end collision ??

and by the way it is not overinflation,, .. overinflation wears the middle of the tire
uderinflation wears both the inside and outside threads

have car aligned get the before and after reuslts and post them here ..

I rotated the tires and put the good ones up front. I inspected the front end and there appears to be no damage or worn parts.

I will get the POS aligned and see if that helps.

FYI - all of the tires have exactly 44lbs in them - just what the manf states.

44 ??? Holy cow that is way too much ,, you should inflate them at 30-32 psi
