With basic suspenion mods (tokikos, ground controls, 22mm rear sway bar), your si will easily smoke a stock S in corners.

lol.. why do s2k owners think their car is gift from god??

In its stock form, the s2k just isn't that great!

Stock for stock, in its stock form it is one of the very best out of the box handling cars. Where'd you form your informed opinion from?

300+ trade professionals and journalists (people who drive/test cars for a living) cannot be wrong over the time period of the last 6 years.

If you cannot speak or debate appropriately regarding the S2000 handling then don't bother. You're buying your cars for very different purposes than what I bought my S2000 for (I mean hell, my K-swapped Integra is faster than my S2000....but that's only light to light...there's no real measure of driver skill and experience in that). You arguing this point with me would be futile...and a serious waste of my time.

Just don't bother.

i agree the s2000 is not a gift from God, but it is pretty damn good......

i dont see them comparing a SI to a NSX

Actually....I'm assuming he's going to come back and post up some Google vids of the S2000 getting destroyed by a turbo Si at the 1/4 mile track.

If you are planning on doing that, please heed my advice from before: Don't bother

That would be perfect. Then we can move this worthless thread to the butthole of H-T called the kills section.

It's good, but not THAT good...

Like I said, a 00 civic SI with a good coilover system, a good rear sway bar, and similiar tires would out corner a stock s2k hands down.

comparing a modded car to a stock one is stupid. I'm sure a civic can be modded to out corner a stock ferrari, but you don't hear me saying it. we are comparing stock for stock

Also, with the specs you posted. It may be close in a couple corners but i guarantee you the S2K will have faster lap times with the same driver

Right, but the SI would lose to a stock tYp3 R, right?

I don't see anyone in the STX class coming close to S2000's in AS. Get into SM/SM2's, then you're passing up S2000's. And let's not even get into an actual track comparison.

My car (mostly stock) with coilovers and a set of tires can probably outcorner STOCK NSX's, Vettes, Evos, STi's.. name it. So what's your point?

In fact, bring your Si, I'll let you use my staggered wheels/tires, and I want to see you beat a stock S.

Who ever has that ish he's smoking, pass it to me next!!!

I drove an 00 SI for 5 years. I had coilovers, swaybars, Strut tower bars..... My S outhandles that thing by a long shot! The S2000 is a true drivers car. Yes the SI is a "sport-ish" style civic. No matter how you modify it...it is still a civic. The S2000 is a true sports car. The 50/50 weight ratio helps the S handle very well. I am not hating on Civics, I will always love them....but the S ...well it is a whole new game!

I'm still sitting here wondering where'd this douchebag of an opinion come from. In stock form, the S2K just isn't that great.....

.....for carryng three adults.
.....for putting a dead body in the trunk.
.....for being driven by Team Integra.
.....for those that want bad brakes.
.....for those that want a "boat-like" cornering experience.
.....for those that like FWD.
.....for those that want to go off-roading.
.....for those that want to live in their car.
.....for those that put on a Veilside kit.
.....for those that enjoy talking more than listening to the motor/drivetrain
.....for those that like a convertible hardtop.
.....for those that want to come on an S2000 forum and criticize it without really knowing what they're talking about.
.....for those that REALLY love BMW Z4's.
.....for those that really love bench seats over buckets.
.....for those that only want 5 forward gears.
.....for those that rather have a MIVEC, Vortec, VVTi, etc. motors.
.....for those that really don't  their Hondas
.....for those that really, really want a pink, green, or Imola Orange car.
.....for those that don't like 8000+ revs
.....for those that don't really appreciate the driving experience.
.....for those that are just offering out opinions just to be a douche (aka, talking out of their ***).
.....for those don't care for a care with a vintage namesake.
.....for those that don't believe the opinions of 300+ professionals and however many owners.

you can fit a golf bag in the trunk.. you might have to take the driver out and leave it in your passenger set...
