b18c can be 2 diff motors. one is the jdm gsr and one is the jdm type r. You are definitely looking at the type r. gsr doesn't come with lsd tranny and is much cheaper (by about 1200). 180hp stock

nah im all about the type r n the lsd....is it better 2 get a motor outta canada from japan or from the u.s. which is cheeper do u kno??
You'll find one here, search for one? Or i know a place in california. Hmotorsonline.com sell's them for a good price, maybe not 2gs, but about 2500ish, but then we get into the issue of why not get a b18c1 for 3-3.5k instead.? In the end it's all up to you. Are you planning to boost? N/a, or just stock?

As a K-swapper, I actually disagree... It's expensive as hell for 180-210 whp. Best bang for the buck would be to keep your motor and turbo it. But the bolt-ons for a k20 are definitely best for "bank for your buck".

ideally id wanna boost it but it costs soo much...i had a 2000 si so i already love the B16....is that easier 2 boost than the B18c??
keep the D15Y7??? i think itd blow up before id hear the bov for the first time....plus id have 2 upgrade so much 2 turbo it....
I'd say go with a b18c1 just because its a good all around motor...I mean it has decent power stock for a lot of people, then you can go any direction with it down the road. And it still has a bit of torque (not saying it's got mass torque but a generous difference compared to a stock b16)
