Default struts / lowering

I have been lookgin for lowering kits for my 93 EX coupe, and have come across a wide variety of opinionson certain products. Yet, they all seem to contradict each other. What would be a logical drop for my civic (I estimated about 2 - 2.5 inches) without doing the dumbass thing and f'ing the camber. I understand the "give and take" between performance and overall ride qaulity. I would really like to hear what people have found to work best. I was also looking at a set of Skunk2 struts; any suggestions in this area would be greatly appreciated.

i think first you need to get whatever wheel/tire combo you're gonna put on the car. then after that, decide how you want the car to sit with that size wheel/tire. don't end up like alot of people, slam your car, then get your wheels and tires and find out they rub like hell just when you sit your *** in the car, let alone when you drive it down the road. on my hatch i have 195/50/15s with a neuspeed sport drop, i'd like to have it a little lower, but in all reality i shouldn't go any lower with road conditions the way they are where i live. basically to repeat myself...........get your wheels/tires first then decide how much to lower it.

First off you have shocks, not struts.

Lowering your car will give you negative camber no matter what you do. This is not necessarily a bad thing. If you get an alignment and have toe set to 0, you won't have any tire wear problems.

Don't cheap out on your suspension. Cheap shocks / coilovers / lowering springs will give you a crap ride. Stiff springs on stock shocks will pretty much do the same and probalby blow on you fairly quickly.
