Default noob question

sorry about this noob question. i just bought a 99 civic si and it's completely stock. i'll be buying a intake for it soon and i saw a sensor for the intake. lets just say that i buy a intake that doesn't have a hole/clip for me to put the sensor in, would it mess up my car?

Get one with the hole for the iat sensor, it's important for controlling fuel trim, but you can prolly just drill a hole or something.

Haha, I have a hacked up thing because I've done some weird stuff with my intake, but fortunately I do not have that sensor on the intake arm like you do.

most good aftermarket intakes will have a spot to put the iat sensor on the new intake...

f getting a new intake and remove your resonator. SOunds awsome and its probably the same performance boost as a new intake, not a very big one

just get one for a 99 Si - it'll have the hole for the iAT to plug into...just save yourself and everybody else the time when u let it hang and come back a month from now complaining about a surging idle or something to that affect...

just get one made for it..

if you get an intake without the hole just drill a hole and make it yourself its no big deal really. jus make sure you clean it out so no medal shavings go into the motor
