Default How much heavier IS a 4dr over a hatchback?

I'm running a B16A2 in a 4dr (92') vs a D16Z6 in a hb (92'). I took the launch, roared ahead in second gear, and then he gradually pulled through third, fourth, and the first part of fifth, before catching me at the line.

I should have pulled on him the whole race.....whats up with that? Is the 4 door really that much heavier?

Its my best friend....I/E with a fuel tuner (hb) vs intake and open header (4dr). Both motors stock, and if it helps any, my tires are probably stickier...both cars completely assembled, nothing taken out.

I highly doubt it...but then again, I was going by ear...no tach yet....

Didn't hit the rev limiter once and ran it most of the way through vtec...hell, he even missed third gear.

if anything, you should've lost on the launch because you're heavier, and b16's are just like d16s below 5k anyways. After vtec, that's a different story. I don't know about your situation tho.
