Default Come race Watkins Glen next week!

PDA's NASA NE still has space in all Race Groups, the Comp Licensing School and HPDE for the May 8-9 event! I realize that CMP is that weekend and that a Monday-Tuesday event isn't particularly convenient but I hope to see some Hondas out there!

Registration can be found at http://www.nasaproracing.com/n...vents

Also - we will be racing not only at Pocono in July and August but also (drumroll!!!) at Lime Rock Park on August 4-5 (Friday-Saturday!) The Lime Rock event will be a race only (no HPDE). We will be sharing the track with our friends at the VSCCA and plan to have two separate race groups ...

With or without the decibel restrictions?

Excellent question on the LRP date! I will see if I can find out what the Db will be.

I can't imagine some of those old cars making LRP's normal level. What is it, 89?

Yes, the normal LRP limit is 89 decibels. My Spec Miata (a 1.8 with no cat and the MazdaComp Exhaust) always made it passed sound. I agree though seems a lot of the vintage cars would be over 89. I called the VSCCA contact for the event and he did not know so I will call LRP directly tomrrow AM.

I think they only lift the restrictions twice a year. I would love to race there, I did my first ever DE there, I did Skip Barber there... it's a track that has a lot of sentimental value for me. I just know that my Civic won't be anywhere near 89db, and that's a long drive to just pack it up and go home.

Speedracer, consider getting a supertrap extension to quite your car down. I bolt one onto the end of my exhaust for these types of low db events. But I agree, if you coming from a distance, finding out that you don't make sound would be very frustrating.
