Looking at a '94 lude...opinions?
Hey i'm new to the site and checking up on the 4th gens. I'm looking for you opinions on this 'lude.

Here's the ad: http://lespac.com/search/detai...atb=t
Alright, it's a '94 SRV with 195000 km. Comes with the 17" rims and leather. He's asking $8000 canadian (yikes). I'm going to see it tonight and i've read up on the "problems to look for" threads. I'm pretty sure it is a summer driven car only, explaining the price tag. I'll be back on tonight to give an update.

Even if its in perfect condition thats a pretty steep price there. It IS the best model of the 4th gens with vtec but for the mileage factor and all I would say somewheres around 6,600 (7,414 canidian) is more reasonable. Just my opinion. To do moderate modding with reliability as a factor, you would more than likely have to rebuild the motor.
I wouldn't pay more than $6000 USD, so about 6800 canadian?
Picked up my VTEC for $5700 with less miles, extra set of rims, over a year ago.

Update: The reason for the high price is because the car is in MINT condition. The exterior and interior are perfect, so paint flaws at all except for a small amount of rust around the rear wheelwells. The leather seats have been treated regularly and are not ripped or torn at all. The motor is also perfect. No rust in the engine bay, and all the major things (radiator, t-belt, waterpump...) have been changed. It has some mild upgrades (cold air intake, complete exhaust). The front brake assemblies where changed - all new parts. The rims are enekies and the tires are brand new also, there is less than 500km on these rims/tires and not a scratch. The car was put in storage over the last two winters at least (he didn't know about the previous owner(s)). Only one probelm....It was SOLD
The buyer hasn't paid the $$ yet, so he took my name and # if it doesn't work out. If i'm lucky at all, what should i offer for it?? I was thinking around $7000 (canadian)... Is that too much?

You guys seem to pay ALOT for your preludes? You could pick up a prelude here (Uk) in that condition for around £2000 which is $3574 us, 4032 canadian.
That's what I would pay for the above vehicle. My lude only cost me £990. Which is $1771. I suppose we get stitched up on petrol though, what with our government taxing 50%
