97 Honda Accord EX V6 transmission problems

97 Honda Accord EX V6 transmission problems
About 2 weeks ago I noticed that while driving, on the highways especially my RPM gauge starts going crazy, at first it didnt correlate with performance at all but in the last couple of days when it does this it seems like the its "not sure" what gear it wants to be in.
The car has about 147K miles, scheduled maintenance is up to date and oil changed regularly.
Any ideas?

ah, true. I didn't think of that. Did that to my girls brothers CRX one day. Within 10 min the car was dead.

How difficult is it to replace the A/C condenser on my car (97 Accord EX V6)? Is it something a n00b w/ some help should attempt?
