I wonder if it will bolt up and if the brain needs to transfer with it if at all. Anyone have any knowledge or ideas?

I assume your refering to the H22A7? It should be the same as swapping in any H22A motor. Just run a search in the Accord forum through both recent and archived threads and you should find plenty of info on that swap.

not worth the money to get that engine. either go h22a1/a4 or turbo your f.

If you're on a budget, go with your average run-of-the-mill H22. Turboing the F can get you into some problems (I know this first hand). But contrary to Type Wah's beliefs.... Just cause it's a Type R, don't mean it's a Tight Car.

swapping can lead to some problems as well.

you just gota know what your are doing. dont turbo without having knowledge on tuning. dont swap without some knowledge of wiring and at least some mechanical ability.

anyways. please be more specific on which type r engine. I wont assume u mean the h22a7 because many people on here ask if they can put a b series in an accord.

Sure it can. But i would be EXTREMELY slow.

No torque + heavy car = Slow.

**** i'd throw a b series into my accord if i had the money and time just for the hell of it! i have no tq or power whatsoever right now anyways so wouldn't make a difference if my bank account had more digits in front of the decimal then behind it

He could also be talking about the F20B..which is the Type R motor for the accord which was in the Euro SiR-Type R accords... n yeah it will fit and work...but i hear from people it would be way easier 2 just go with the OBD1 H22... cmon people it bolts right in and u can even use parts from the F22!!!

ok, no, he is not talking about the f20b. jesus, you wanna throw more of honda's designations on that car? its not a Euro SiR-Type R. ITS A ******* SiR or SiR-T, Euro-R, or Type R. THEY ARE ALL 3 DIFFERENT CARS, AND BETWEEN THEM, HAVE 3 DIFFERENT MOTORS. good gawd

and i can convert my accord to RWD. its not realistic. neither is putting a B20/Vtec w/ a GTr35 into an accord. it doesnt matter how big the motor is, the b series isnt easily accepted into the accord chasis

While I agree with you fwbvi190 that he's probably talking about the B18C5... we can't run off assuming things. Notice the OP left us with the original post and nothing else.
