Default *MINIME*

who here has a mini me probably many as people like myself are in a budget/ poor haha. anyhow i'm thinking of y8 head and staying obd-o and chippin my pm6. but then io heard u can get a vafc and run vtec, kinda wondering wut I should do so came to the expert's msg away

chip the pm6 with a program called turboedit..it allows you to change the fuel maps for the sohc vtec engine and also control vtec through the a/c clutch relay..thats how i had my minime on my old 88 hatch

yah my buddy will be chippin my ecu, but would a vafc be good also or would it be useless, the vtec part just stumble's me lol but i guess their are ways 2 hook it up, a controlelr would be nice tahnks for ur help

i might be doing a mini me, and i researched a little, imo i think that just swapping to obd1 is easier, and i heard that vafc cant tune vtec enoungh or something. but thats me, good luck on that

i did a obd-1 swap in mine

you cant get the fuel maps right if you use something to activate vtec other then the ecu itself.

turboedit on your ecu will work just as good if you get someone to burn you a basemap for a z6 and have vtec engaged there.
