Car turns over..then stalls???
Sometimes when I fire her up, the revs will go up to around 1,000, but then go way down to 100 and I hear this sputtering sound then it stalls and makes this "errrrrrrrr" sound.
It happens mainly after I fill up on gas when I'm close to empty, but its been happening more recently. Is it a bad starter? I have the skunk2 manifold so i'm thinking lack of airflow at low rpm might have something to do w/it.
Thanks,
-Greg

its not a bad starter because all a starter does is well. . . .start it.
If you are constantly running the tank almost dry, you may have sucked up some gunk from the bottom of the tank, so consider changing the fuel filter. Have you done a tune up recently?

my car does the exact same thing. It only happens after I fill up gas, or if I shut it off and try to crank it again within 5 mins. I have the oem intake manifold, and it happens to me regardless of how empty I run the tank when filling up.
Strange things I have figured out:
If I give it gas before the revs fall again, then put it in gear and move the car at all, it won't stall.
If you give it gas like above but don't put the car in gear, as soon as I let off the gas it will stall.
If I remote start the car instead of cranking with a key, it won't stall.
I thought I had the problem narrowed down to fuel pressure until I figured out that remote starting works fine everytime.
OP, if I figure it out I'll let you know, been trying to solve this problem for 3-4 months now.

1. Have you ever left it running while filling it up?
2. Depending on your setup, the Skunk 2 intake mani could be the problem.

It could be other things too, but we'll start with what we know. How long after you put the manifold on did this problem start?

No, I always shut my car off before I fill up. I can't remember if it happened before or after my IM install, but i'm going euro-r in a month so we'll see. I have recently done a tune up (new cap and rotor plus wires and plugs).

Yes, the hondata was tuned after my Skunk2 Intake Manifold installation. If my FPR was faulty wouldn't it happen everytime? Maybe my fuel filter is clogged.
yeah being intermittent like that it almost has to be a fuel delivery prob. I'm not 100% sure if an FPR can have random problems like that.
I'd say we've ruled out the IM. It would be a constant problem.

Recently I removed my rear seats, which helps me hear things better at the rear. At startup when my car starts hesitating, i can hear the fuel pump struggling. The fuel pump turns on fine, but I can hear it struggling when my car hessitates to start up. This could mean 2 things: either I need a new fuel pump, or my fuel filter is clogged and the pump is having trouble forcing enough fuel through it.

If the fuel pump is indeed the problem, what is a good pump to upgrade too? Or should I simply buy an OEM fuel pump.

fuel filter is cheap and easy - also have you thought about your main relay? when you turn your car key to "on", you should hear the click under the dash from that relay a second afterwards (don't start it). that relay feeds the fuel pump.
