12.5 isn't that high, to me i dont' even consider it a high compression motor

above 13:1 is high compression.

94 octane sometimes 93
ain't no biggy.

how are the JUN cams on h series?

I was running Jun 3's with Rollerwave High Compression pistons.
I made 200.4whp with minimal tuning on 94octane.
The car was my daily driver, 100miles a day to & from work. It ran great! Pulled hard all the way through the RPM band.

Anyway, you don't have much clearance. I ended up dropping a valve & blowing my motor when I missed a gear

You can email if you want. Good luck with your setup.

What other mods did you have on your motor when you were using the JUNs? How about boltons? My goal is to get my car to an even 200whp and have it as reliable as possible (daily driver). do you think it is possible to keep it very reliable? I was thinking of using type-s 11:1 compression pistons, would those give me enough clearance? I really appreciate any input.

if that is not a high compression motor, i don't know what is then....
12.5 is pretty high dude.
JUN cams are good, but you must upgrade the valvetrain.

GSR Motor & Tranny. I had Eagle Rods, Endyn (Wiseco) N/A High CR .25 Over Rollerwave Pistons, STR Blockguard, OEM head gasket, Jun Stage 3 cams with Jun Valve Train and Cam gears, Jun Ultra Lightweight Flywheel, ACT 6 Puck Disc w/ClutchMasters Stage 3 Pressure Plate, Skunk2 Intake Manifold, AEM CAI, AEM Competition Fuel Rail, 310cc Injectors, Fuel Pressure Regulator, P72 OBD I ECU w/Skunk2 program, VAFC, 2 1/2" Exhaust accompanied by a Jun Header with a High Flow Cat. Stock Ignition System.

I think that should just about cover it.

The car idled fine, it wasn't a factory idle but it was pretty damn close. The motor pulled HARD from start to finish. It was a shame that it had blown up on me, but **** happens and life goes on.

I have a friend with the JUN III on a H22, idles fine. I've got III's in a B16 with 11:1 compression and I regret not changing the pistons to 12.5:1. Overall though nobody will know you have III when you're just sitting at a light.
