how to tell if there is pistons?
i am looking at an h22 for sale and it says it has pistons and rods with real high compression....is there any way for me to tell if they are really there before i buy the car??????
You can do a compression check on the motor and if it's higher than what it should be, then their high compression, right? For the rods...I dunno unless the person has a receipt. I guess you could rev the engine really high and see if it blows apart

no there already put in i just wanna make sure they are really there............and doesnt it take a while to take the head offf how can you just pop it off?
You might be able to see the shape of the tops of the pistons by pulling the spark plugs.
For the rods, try and get a fibreoptic camera and shine it up there.

it is supposed to have a 12.5:1 compression.......stock pistons couldnt handle that right? so if thas true then i could just take a compression test and tell right??
I understand im just saying for me personally i would rather do it myself so i knew but if he's going to let you check it out to make sure it legit then i wouldnt worry about it especially if the price is right
