Default B18C JDM - Code 3 & 6

I am in the process of trying to troubleshoot these codes. I know 3 is the MAP SENSOR and the other is the COOLANT SENDER on the side of the head.

My question is: does the car run in limp mode having these codes? Can i still dyno tune the car? It is being built for NA. JDM B18C with Skunk I cams, I/H/E, bored TB, etc.

I priced a new map sensor through the dealer and they wanted $230.00!!! That is absolutely ridiculous if you ask me.

Yes I know for sure that your car is in limp mode from the code 6 but I dont know on the code 3. I had a broken wire leading to my temp sensor which caused the code. Check your wiring or find another sensor to put in. You must fix these codes before going to your tuner or you may get sent away. I had this issue when I got my car tuned a while ago. I was really close to not being able to tune my car, then we found the broken wire and all was good. Good luck!

as for the map sensor, if all the wires are good and are going to the right places, check the throttle body gasket. sometimes there is silicone there, and it blocks the passageway for vaccuum to the map sensor. if thats all good, switch out the sensor. you can use a sensors from pretty much any other honda/acura model. good luck.
