Default A/C EXPANSION VALVE

SUP........ON A '93 ACCORD EX MANUAL........I HAD A LEAK FREON LEAK THROUGH THE PRESSURE SWITCH. I GOT A NEW ONE, FILLED UP THE SYSTEM, TURN ON THE AC, THE COMPRESSOR KICKS, THROUGH THE SIGHT GAGE U CAN SEE MOVEMENT BUT..........THAT S IT. EVEN THOU THE COMPRESSOR KICKS IN, THERE IS NO COLD AIR COMING OUT. I CHECK ALL THE FUSES POSSIBLE AND THEY R ALL OK. I WAS TOLD THAT IT COULD BE THE EXPANSION VALVE. WHERE IS THE VALVE LOCATED? ANY PICS OF IT S LOCATION? I LOOKED FOR IT IN THE HAYNES MANUALS, BUT IT DOESNT SHOW IT.....???????

what are the system pressures? high side and low side? The expansion valve is in the evap. housing behind the glove box; you'll need to pull out the freon/vacum the system and recharge freon if you replace the expansion valve.

how much freon is in the sytem now ?? As adviced it would be very helpful to tell us the pressures,,,,,, did you chk the heater valve adjustment??
to replace the exp valve you need to pull out the evap from the car, split apart the casings and replace the valve,, But do not replace it till you know for sure,,
hook up a set of gauges and post the pressures here ..

like A-P and others have mentioned you need to give us some more information. Putting the system on a vaccum will usually (if there is no internal damage) pull most of the crap out of the system. Also you will need to see if the system can hold a vaccum for at least 12 hours...if it cannot, have the leak repaired. Also, any time the system is opened up for repairs, replace the accumulator/dryer for optimum performance...
