How much smaller are they than the B18b1? I currently have an OBD2 B18b1 in my 1998 Civic coupe running off an OBD1 ECU and i re-used the injectors from my D16y7 and ive been having poor fuel economy, loss of power in low rpms, poor idle.......could this be the issue?

actually I do believe they are both 240cc injectors if I'm not mistaken. Maybe I could be wrong seen as the d series is non vtec but I dont think that would make a huge difference. I have both d16y8 and b18b injectors here at home and both are the same size and one is obd1 and the d series are obd2. I did a b18b swap with my integra and I ended up getting rc 550s for my turbo setup. Also, a buddy of mine wanted to buy my integra injectors for his del sol and then he searched and he said both are the same size.
dirty injectors is my call for crappy idle, and poor fuel economy w/performance. Also, are your injectors obd1 or 2? What harness are u using on the motor?

Well it seems some people say the y7 are 210cc and some say all b/d are the same so i dunno. I have been having this problem since i swapped the engine and i only changed a few things, one of them being the injectors. The B18b1 ran perfect before with the injectors it had and the D16y7 from my car had no fuel issues. I have used seafoam in the gas tank and it made no difference so im sure the injectors themselves are fine. The injectors are OBD2 from the D16y7 obviously, I am using the harness from the 98 civic and i hard-wired the harnes to obd1 aswell as changing the IACV to 2-wire etc etc. All wiring has been triple checked aswell as continuity with all the connections has been checked so thats not the issue. I have also checked the timing on the crankshaft and its perfect, havent checked the ignition timing but it hasnt been moved so that wouldnt be the issue. I have changed the cap, rotor, plugs, fuel filter, changed IACV, screwed in FITV etc etc. I am running out of ideas and now im thinking maybe the injectors are the issue?

yea, you'd have to swap them out for obd1 clips, I had to do that with my swap, just color coded everything and it worked out ok. gotta love the OBD's

so are obd2 teg injectors the same style as the obd2 civic D's or are they like the obd1 injectors?
