Default pipe diameter

i want to put a 2.25 or 2.5 pipe from the cat back and have a universal muffler on the end. If i have a bigger pipe will it increase in sound if i have the biger pipe????

who cares what sound...kinda a ricey question but why would u go 2.5 what all do u have done...my suggestion is 2.25

2.25 is plenty, I just got my exhaust on my 99 Accord sedan, and 2.25 is more than plenty. Try the exhaust without the resonator first, you can always add it later, its a lot tougher to take it off.

right now i got me some 2.25...but ill prob move up to a deluxe apartment in the sky with the 2.5 y0!

I was running 2.25 tanabe. After I finish my car I will be running open downpipe for as long as i can get away with it.

2.5 is good for our motors.
A recent issue of Grassroots Motorsports did some extensive exhaust testing. For the most part, larger piping increases flow, but reduces exhaust velocity, and some low down power can be lost, but it's all a gain on the top end and overall.

im thinking 2.5-2.75.... im gonna have to dump funds into the tranny build up, i cant afford 12 axels ahem....

I have mastered the art of streetside axle swaps. Go figure I blow em when I didnt have any spares.
