how wide can i go?

what is the widest tire i can go on a 17x7. i have RH (racing hart looking) cp10s. not sure of the offset but i think it's above +40. thanks

have a del sol on koni yellows and h&r race springs (dropped 2.5 inches in the front and 2.3 in the rear)

This is a question for the wheel and tire forum maybe?

And check the tire manufacturers web sites, they will list the max and min recommended wheel sizes for the different sized tires. Each tire could very well have different tolerances for narrow wheels.
