Default CV joint/body work

So, i bought my 90 CRX si, and the CV joint was clicking, and then i accelerated alittle faster then i should have and it broke. How hard would it be to replace the part myself?

Also, Would body panels (hood, front fenders, maybe doors) work on my car from a similar year honda civic?

Buy a good repair manual and study it. Cv axles are not had to change if you have any mechanical skills at all.

Civic hoods, fenders, doors, and bumpers are different than the CRX I think the hood is the same. You can do some modification to make the bumper and fenders work but it requires cutting the bottom rear section off the Civic fender and welding it to theCRX fender- not worth the trouble.

This is a tricky subject.
Changing an axle can be both easier than shitting, or harder than you can imagine.
People bend the axle nut onto the axle, making it hard as hell to get off without Neumatic tools.
Also, sometime's the LCA get stuck on the Hub and won't come off. This can be a problem. I have a hub with a LCA stuck on it that WONT come off. Short of dropping it on the LCA, NOTHING has gotten it off.

It's an easy job if the conditions are right, but it's also something you could run into alot of trouble with.

So, i got a new hood from a junkyard, but I dont have the hood cable, and i dont feel like getting a new one and running it, does anyone know if the hood pins that are used for the carbon fiber hoods will hold my hood byt themselves without any other locking device?
