Default is this a distirbutor problem?

this is happening more frequently now. when im driving my car and the rpms get to lets say 2500 the engine will jerk the car for a sec then its fine. sometimes it will do it again at 3000rpms. what is causing this?

Have you replaced any parts yet? Change your plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor. Just try the plugs and plug wires first. If the car isn't getting enough spark to burn the fuel, it will cause the car to "hesitate". Is this happening when you are holding at a constant speed?

try checking your wiring. if it is your cylinder position sensor, you might have ran a wire to the wrong place.

iv checked wiring over and over manytimes.. i re-did the wiring twice. same stuff. how could my timing be off from doing a mpfi swap? i know the dizzy being moved could do it but could it be making my car do this and throw a code 9? i priced out a re-built dizzy today and its 380 .. id rather buy a d16 for that much .
