Default Transmission won't shift, '91 LX.

'91 LX, intermitten problem, "S" lite flashes on and tranny w/not shift, turn the car off and re-start problem goes away (for awhile).

Will the code be stored after the car is turned off?

Since my original problem I have changed the AT Control Unit (ATCU) (got a rebuilt), when I did that I developed a new set of problems. I checked the code but there's nothing stored. I did swap the ATCU again, so far it looks like the intermitten shift problem is cured.

Several months ago I had the speed sensor changed. It seemed to be working fine until I swapped the ATCU. I thought they were connected but the problem remains the same after the second ATCU swap. At 3K RPM it's showing 52 MPH, kinda slow. I did observe the speed drop 8 MPH while on the Interstate. Also when I come to a complete stop the odometer will show 2-5 MPH. Looks like another Speed Sensor to me, any ideas?

Hi I am having the same problems the "S" light blinks. It seems to shift from 1 to 3 and that is it. How do I get the code?
